To chat and co-browse:
Use Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 with Windows 2000 or XP
Add Virtual Reference to an IE Tab in your Firefox browser (see instructions)
To chat and only receive Web pages:
Use Windows or Macintosh with Firefox, Safari, Netscape, or Opera
Transcripts: All virtual reference sessions are recorded. At the end of the session, a transcript of your chat and shared web
sites will be emailed to you.
Privacy: Transcripts are kept confidential and handled as required by American Library Association
ethical standards. The Virtual Reference Service stores a copy of all transcripts for service assessment. Stored copies do not include personal
identifying information.
